Richard Carter Joins Johnson & Strachan Insurance
Fairfax, VA (July 31, 2007) – Johnson & Strachan Inc., a full-service commercial and personal insurance agency, announced today that Richard Carter has joined the firm as a commercial lines producer.
Carter joins Johnson & Strachan from the King Adkins insurance agency where he was responsible for developing new target markets and strategies including providing international coverages for clients, primarily contractors with the Department of Defense. He also developed new accounts and managed commercial insurance accounts at Raley, Watts & Associates where he represented carriers providing property, casualty, commercial auto and workers compensation coverage as well as risk management programs.

Carter attended the Life Underwriter Training Council and the National Association of Life Underwriters in Washington, D.C. and graduated with a degree in insurance marketing. He was awarded the designation of Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow. He also completed courses in advanced commercial lines property and casualty analysis and he attended the College of Southern Maryland.
Carter’s previous business experience includes direct mail and advertising with Thomas Register of American Manufactures and the Bell Atlantic Yellow Pages. He also owned and operated his own direct mail advertising business.
