Fairfax, VA (December 5, 2006) - Johnson & Strachan Inc., a full-service commercial and personal insurance agency, announced today it has acquired The Morrow Group, an independent insurance agency specializing in group health and employee benefits.
The merger, which is effective immediately, reunites the two agencies that had separated in 1998 for business reasons. All personnel and operations from The Morrow Group, which was located in Burke, Va., have moved to the Johnson & Strachan offices in Fairfax, Va.

Johnson said the acquisition helps Johnson & Strachan continue its strategic plan of controlled growth and will provide the clients of The Morrow Group with a broader array of products and services, all handled by one agency. Johnson & Strachan provides a wide range of multi-line, commercial and personal insurance products and services to corporations, nonprofits, educational institutions and small businesses.
